De su lectura pudo deducirse que tal afici\u00f3n solo arraigaba entre curas de pueblo, novicios o seminaristas. <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Mas a pesar de lo sorprendente que pudiera parecer y como contradicci\u00f3n a las pr\u00e1cticas imperantes en la Santa Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica, que decretaron varias prohibiciones papales contra las corridas de toros, intentando su total abolici\u00f3n en los reinos cristianos, tambi\u00e9n en la cuna de la Curia Romana se realizaron muchas corridas o cazas de toros, como as\u00ed se las conoc\u00eda en Italia, \u201cen donde se corr\u00edan tambi\u00e9n, pero enmaromados y con perros, y a\u00fan hoy se observa en Italia;&#8230;\u201d\u009d, seg\u00fan cita D. Nicol\u00e1s Fern\u00e1ndez de Morat\u00edn en su \u201cCarta Hist\u00f3rica\u201d\u009d(1775).<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Ese mismo autor, en igual obra, sigue diciendo: \u201cy no pudo ser menos que con este desorden y atropellamiento, la fatalidad que acaeci\u00f3 en Roma el a\u00f1o 1332, cuando murieron en las astas de los toros muchos plebeyos, diez y nueve caballeros romanos, y otros nueve fueron heridos; desgracia que no se verifica en Espa\u00f1a siendo el ganado mucho m\u00e1s bravo.
